Mrs. Linda Chandler
My name is Linda Chandler. I’ve been a teacher in the Archdiocese of St. Louis for 25+ years, previously taught at Mary, Queen of Peace and Annunciation schools in Webster Groves.
I value being a part of Christ the King school serving as a Preschool Teacher.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy trout fishing, swimming, reading and crocheting, but the most fun is being with my family and playing with my three young grandchildren.
Mrs. Beth Strange
Position: Kindergarten Teacher
Education: I have a B.S. in Elementary Education from Lindenwood University. I also have my Associate's Degree from Florissant Valley Community College in Child Care.
Certifications: I am certified to teach Birth to Grade 3.
Experience: I have taught pre-school for 19 years. I also substitute taught all grades at St. Sabina in Florissant. I was the Curriculum Coordinator for a pre-school in O'Fallon Mo.
Hobbies: I enjoy being at the Lake of the Ozarks. I also enjoy spending time with my husband, Jim, my daughter, Katelyn, and our friends and family. Watching my daughter play volleyball is another favorite of mine. In my spare time I love taking pictures.

Ms. Claire Juodis

Education: I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Illinois State University. I have a Master’s degree in Special Education from Webster University.

Experience: I have previously worked as a teacher in a daycare and as teacher in Christ the King's PreSchool.

Mrs. Dawn Duncan
Position: 2nd Grade Teacher
Education: I graduated Magna Cum Laude at Harris Stowe State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Social Studies.
Experience: I have taught first, second, fifth and sixth grades - all in Catholic Schools. After 6 years at Resurrection of our Lord, the school closed and I was fortunate to follow my students to St. John the Baptist. And now God has called me to CKS!

Mrs. Tara Murphey
Position: 3rd Grade Teacher
Education: I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Lindenwood University in 2003. Also, I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Phoenix, which I received in 2011. I am currently working on a Master's in Reading Specialty from Liberty University.
Certification: I am certified to teach grades 1-6.
Experience: I taught fifth grade at Saint James the Greater from 2006-2016. After 10 years in one grade, I moved to third grade at Saint James the Greater, and I taught one year of that grade. In 2017-2018, I taught first grade at Saint James the Greater. I moved to first grade, so I did not teach my daughter. My final year 2018-2019, I moved back to where my heart is----in third grade. I was at Saint James the Greater for 13 years.
Hobbies: When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my children and my husband. I also enjoy reading and traveling when I can. Finally, I enjoy shopping.
Why I enjoy CKS? I enjoy teaching students who have a zest for learning! Also, CKS felt potentially like a school where I could thrive as a teacher, and include students who have the eagerness to learn, as I to teach.

Position: 5th Grade Homeroom Teacher 7th Grade English Teacher
Education: I have a B.S. in Education from Harris Stowe State University with an emphasis in Language Arts and Social Studies.
Experience: I had been a substitute teacher for Christ the King Catholic School and for the University City School District since 2000. I have taught and tutored low-income women for a local organization called Women in Charge.
Hobbies: I enjoy playing golf, gardening, and completing crossword puzzles.
Why I Enjoy CKS: Christ the King School (CKS) embraces diversity and realizes the potential of all children. As a parent of a child who attended CKS for nine years, I have seen firsthand the dedication and commitment put forth for the success of each child.

Education: I have a BFA from the University of Missouri, Columbia. I received my certification from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, and also attended SVA in New York City.
I have received my lifetime certification from the State of Missouri
Experience: Prior to teaching I was a National award-winning graphic designer and illustrator, and also worked as the marketing director for Kaepa Athletic Shoes of NYC. The 2013-2013 school year was my first year of teaching.

Experience: I have a variety of teaching experience from Kenrick-Glennon seminary--including a semester teaching K-8 religion at St. Joseph School in Imperial, tutoring inner-city students with the Missionaries of Charity, and teaching 5th grade PSR at Immaculate Conception in Arnold--as well as semester substitute teaching throughout the Archdiocese.

Why I Enjoy CKS: Teaching has always been my passion, since first grade when my teacher asked us to stand and introduce ourselves and tell what we wanted to be when we grew up. After teaching in the public sector while raising my family for the past 33 years, I look forward to returning to my roots, teaching in a Catholic school, specifically Christ the King, with its cultural diversity and unique learning environment. I always think of my students as my own kids, and include Christ the King students to this list of "my children!"

Miss Catherine Attewell
Position: Spanish Teacher
Education: I graduated from Truman State University with my BA in Spanish.
Experience: I taught Spanish for two years at DaySpring Academy, preceded by three years of teaching with STL Spanish.
Hobbies: I love to dance! I grew up taking ballet, jazz, and tap, and I’m currently learning more Latin dances such as salsa and bachata. I also love board games and reading.

Mrs. Jamie Seamands
Position: Art Teacher, Kindergarten - 3rd Grade
Education: BA, Double major in Art History and Classical Civilization The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC
MA, History of Design, Decorative Arts, and Material Culture Bard College, New York, NY
Experience: I have been teaching Art to Kindergarten through 8th grade students at Most Sacred Heart School (MSH) in Eureka for the past two years, and continue to do so on days I am not at CTK. In addition to Art, I also teach Enrichment to grades 1-8 at MSH. Enrichment is a theme and project based learning opportunity for topics not typically covered in the traditional curriculum. Previous general themes have included the History of Childhood and Architecture and Design. For the eleven years prior to my entrance to the classroom, I was at home raising my five children. These five people have given me more experience than I have received in my professional positions at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the New York Public Library, and the National Gallery of Art combined!
Hobbies: I am a very active person who enjoys long walks up steep hills in the literal and figurative! And, I am always reading.
Why I enjoy CTK: I am energized by urban environments and the location of CTK is certainly that. I look forward to collaborating with the faculty, absorbing their wisdom, and sharing my passion for art, architecture and design with my young students.
Mrs. Krista Luedeka
Position: Learning Consultant
Education: I have a B. A. in English Education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. I also did graduate studies to earn my licensure in Mild Interventions and Exceptional Needs at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Certifications: I am certified to teach English, literature, and language arts to grades 5-12. I am certified in Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical Special Education K-12. Also, I am one class from earning my Paul VI certification.
Experience: I have been blessed to have always taught in Catholic schools. First, I taught at St. Monica Catholic School in Indianapolis, Indiana. While there I taught various English/language arts courses to grades 5-8. I also started my path in special education during my six years there working as a member of the support services team specializing in working with students who had a need for language arts support. When we moved to St. Louis, I had the chance to go back into teaching English. I taught Middle School English and sixth grade religion for four years at Our Lady of Lourdes in University City; followed by one year as Learning Consultant there. I have also had opportunities to teach study skills courses, coordinate the yearbook team, teach an introduction to theater arts elective, design creative writing classes, and create and teach a weekly course in American Sign Language.
Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my husband, Bennett, our daughter, Elise, and our friends and family. We continue to enjoy exploring all St. Louis has to offer. I enjoy reading, watching college football (Boiler Up!), and attending live music events around town.
Why I Enjoy CKS: I have enjoyed my career in Catholic education. The many opportunities to build relationships with a faith foundation are important to me and my ministry. I enjoy the chance to share my faith in my words and actions while learning along side others. I am very excited to call Christ the King home.
