Holy Hour for Peace
This past January, Archbishop Paul Coakley, president of the Unites States Conference of Catholic Bishops issued an invitation to his brother bishops, priests and laity across the country to participate in a Holy Hour for Peace. In his statement, he asked that we “pray for reconciliation where there is division, for justice where there are violations of fundamental rights and for consolation for all who feel overwhelmed by fear or loss.” His hope is that “this Holy Hour be a moment of renewal for our hearts and for our nation.”
In response to his invitation, Christ the King parish is inviting all parishioners, as well as non-parishioners, as part our Holy Week observance, to a special Holy Hour for Peace on March 31, 2026 from 7:00-8:00 pm. For Archbishop Coakley’s full statement, see:

If you have not come to the Progressive Dinner before, this is a GREAT way to get to know your fellow parishioners and bring our parish family together for a night of food, fellowship and fun!
The way this works... You will be sent an email with your cocktail party assignment about 1 week prior to the event. When you arrive at the cocktail hour, you will be given an envelope that tells you where you will go for dinner and from dinner everyone meets back up at the MRC for cocktails, coffee and dessert.
If you would like to host a dinner party or cocktail party, please let us know when you sign up for the event in the link! Hosting precludes you from paying for the event.
If you would like to assist with dessert party set-up, clean-up or baking, volunteers are much appreciated!
